What to Wear | Winter Wedding

Although a winter month may not be the most popular time for a wedding, we believe beautiful wedding photographs can be taken with a winter wonderland as the backdrop. And what state does winter better than Wisconsin?

Stoles, cardigans, coats, shrugs, boleros, gloves and scarves - there are many different options to choose from to keep warm while showing off your dress on your wedding day. Some of our favorite places to look for these pieces are:  Etsy, Anthropologie, ModCloth, or even your grandmother's closet and vintage clothing stores.

So cuddle up with some of our favorite cold weather fashion trends that go perfectly with a white gown. Below, you can see some of our winter brides and how they chose to stay warm in the snow.

Caitlin wore this fur stole compliments of Elements Unleashed, located in Neenah, who specializes in finding new homes for vintage fur.
Jessica borrowed her grandmother's fur stole to keep toasty warm and fashionable on her wedding day. What a great way to incorporate your "something old."
Sarah kept warm with a simple cream colored pashmina that paired perfectly with her Vera Wang dress.

And if the winter weather just doesn't work for you… there's always Mexico :)

Are you getting married in winter? If so, how will you stay warm?
